Reduce fluid density in your wells
Casing (annular) flow application is typically sought in highly productive wells, where tubing flow can limit maximum production rates. With casing flow, the gas is injected down the tubing string and fluids are produced out of the tubing/casing annulus. Higher gas lift injection rates must be available to prove efficient in this application and surface facilities must be set up to handle higher fluid volumes.
In this video Eric Hale, a gas lift specialist from our Permian Basin operations, presents a case study developed in conjunction with a major operator from West Texas on the subject of Overcoming Inefficiencies of Annular Flow in a Hybrid Gas Lift Well delivered to an online audience at the 2021 ALRDC gas lift workshop.
